Confirmed: Captain Marvel exists in the Marvel's Avengers universe

The information does not confirm the appearance, playable or not, of the character in the Crystal Dynamics video game, although its canonical existence.

Captain Marvel is part of the Marvel’s Avengers universe , Crystal Dynamics has confirmed. The Square Enix video game, which recently featured Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) as part of the cast of playable characters , says that the well-known superheroine is canonical in the plot’s background, although they neither confirm her visual appearance nor its hypothetical playable addition.

Hannah McLeod, narrative designer in the studio, has confirmed to ComicBook that “We will explain it this way: Kamala cannot be a fan of someone who does not exist.” That is to say, Kamala Khan, a confessed fan of Captain Marvel, responds to that affection for the original reasons of the original comic by Sana Amanat and Stephen Wacker published in the Captain Marvel staple # 14 of 2013.

No changes from the comic: Carol Danvers fan

The young Khan, aspiring to superheroine but with an inordinate power in potential, will assume a role more of apprentice than of expert in the adventure. “She knows everything about the Avengers and yes, Captain Marvel is her favorite,” he says. “There is something in common between her and the players: love these heroes.”

Although Crystal Dynamics confirmed in Gamescom 2019 that Marvel’s Avengers will have more playable and enemy characters in the future (both original and from the comic in this second case), they do not confirm or rule out a possible appearance of Carol Danvers , Captain Marvel, as DLC or in a season pass. It does seem likely that there are mentions and references to his person by mere plot cohesion when presenting Kamala Khan.

In this article, we explain how each of the playable characters confirmed for now is controlled and fought: Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, Hulk and Ms. Marvel .

Marvel’s Avengers will go on sale on May 15, 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Google Stadia . Your individual campaign mode will last between 10 and 12 hours , although if we want to complete all the secondary missions you can leave at 30 hours.
