I’ve finished the entire series, and if you can get past the gruesome 3D CGI animation, there’s a very interesting plot to uncover, themes to discuss, and characters to meet.
Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Season 2 is a direct sequel to season 1, starting right after the original release. Season 2 includes better animation and brings the series back to the philosophy we were used to with Ghost in the Shell.

4. out of 5 Great! Overall, I really enjoyed the series. I was able to leave the scary 3D animation behind and just focus on the themes and characters I found most interesting; more batou and Togusa.
