LATEST – Fortnite Now Live

The server downtime for Fortnite update 21.20 is now over for PC players, meaning the game is playable again via the Epic Games Store.

Indiana Jones now lives in Fortnite.

Although their release is scheduled for Thursday, July 7 in the game, Fortnite decided to add the Indiana Jones quest early, which means that you can now unlock outfits for your favorite archeologist in the game.

Combat SMG rated

In a somewhat pleasant surprise for players who fell victim to Season 3’s often inconsistent Combat SMG, Fortnite has decided to keep the item intact and possibly do more work in the background.

Fortnite is getting a skating mechanic.

according to Fortnite FortTory leak, Fortnite has now added a floating skate park called “Celebration_Skate” to the game files, which is apparently in the very early stages of development. This information confirms that the reported skating mechanic is still being worked on and will make its way to the game soon.

Port-A-Fort will soon be neutralized

According to ShiinaBR on Twitter, Fortnite will soon see the return of Port-A-Fort items after its treasure. This item was very popular when it was last, it was basically a grenade that did a building for you. This component is unlikely to make it into build-free mode.

A new SMG has been added to Fortnite

The new weapon is known as the Charge SMG and was originally the audio codename for the Ripsaw Launcher, but that seems to have been a mistake. Below you can see a nice preview of the weapon from Fortnite news source FNAssist.

More map changes are coming to Fortnite

As expected before the update, Update 21.20 continued to change various map locations. According to reliable Fortnite HypeX leakthe location of the temple between Joneses and Rocky Reels has now been expanded, as suggested by the Fortnite Competitive Twitter page, and is now called “Mixed Temples”.

According to this new temple will have many unique elements of the game FNAssist on Twitter, who says that there are emote doors, ambient music, traps and puzzles hidden at the end of the golden idol.

Currently, the reality tree is spreading its influence further with new roots in Sleepy Sounds as well as the Daily Bugle. These will likely be the next locations to change and become new points of interest on the Fortnite map.

PC Update is now Live

21.20 can now be downloaded by PC players from the Epic Games Store. The size of the update is 2.09 GB, so be sure to download the update as soon as possible if you are a gamer without the fastest internet connection. That way, you can easily get back into the game when it resumes.

Server shutdown started

The 21.20 update for Fortnite is currently rolling out and is expected to disrupt the game for a total of 2-4 hours while the updates are rolled out to the various platforms that Fortnite is active on.

Fortnite update delayed

According to Fortnite insider and reliable source ShiinaBR on his Twitter page, Fortnite update 21.20 will be delayed until Wednesday, July 6, 2022.

The reason for this was that Fortnite changed the date of the “Cash Cash” event from July 6th to July 5th due to the expected update in Fortnite. This confirms that the date has changed, as it would not make sense to change these dates otherwise.

This latest update will start on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 and the expected start time for the update is 21.20 1:00 PST / 4:00 EST / 9:00 BST that’s what we’ve come to expect from Fortnite updates.

The update is currently live on the Fortnite deployment servers according to various Fortnite insiders, including a trusted one ShiinaBR on Twitter

Stage servers act as a sort of pre-launch server for Fortnite, where upcoming content is tested and added to the main game. It’s very serious to try and minimize any bugs or major issues that interfere with the core gameplay, although bugs still slip through the cracks like the Dragon Rune Lance that needs to be temporarily disabled.

Is there any server downtime?

Regarding the 21.20 update, Epic Games itself has not yet officially announced any server downtime, but it is possible that some server downtime will occur when the patch is added to Fortnite.

Server downtime usually starts 30 minutes before the update is complete. This is to make sure that anyone playing Fortnite at the time will be exposed to the game when updates are added, which could potentially cause a lot of problems for such a large patch.

Once the 30 minutes have passed, Fortnite will shut down completely and will be unavailable for the next 2-4 hours as the 21.20 update is fully added to the game. During this time, players will not even be able to log into Fortnite and will need to check back to find out when they will be able to log back in and see all the changes.

* UPDATE * What should be done at 21.20?

Fortnite insider and reliable source ShiinaBR, various changes should be expected at the start of the update or as the update progresses and before the next new implementation.

Expected changes include some that have already taken place during the 21.10 update, and changes to the map continue thanks to the effect of the tree of reality. The Logjam Lumberyard and more recently the Butter Barn are now constantly changing with augmented reality effects that change their appearance.

The next places to upgrade are either Sleepy Sound or Condo Canyon. We also have confirmation that more map changes will come with the 21.20 update thanks to Fortnite competitive Twitter page The new location is sandwiched between Rocky Reels and The Joness. The tweet seems to indicate that the change could be related to the upcoming Indiana Jones crossover. ShiinaBR suggests that this could be the Temple of Tumbledown.

Our first confirmed feature currently due to arrive in the 21.20 Fortnite update is the addition of Indiana Jones to the Season Pass, which will launch on Thursday, July 7, 2022, alongside the quests for Week 5 of Season 3.

Another addition to Fortnite during the 21.20 update is the rumored Luke Skywalker outfit, continuing the Star Wars crossovers seen in the Season 3 battle pass with Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi’s latest outfits.
