Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 End of Explanatory Video:

Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 Season 2 had an interesting but confusing ending. I realized that he left us more questions than answers.

In the episode “Doomsday/Moon Over the Ruined Fortress” we see nuclear weapons being fired and the world seems to be coming to an end; post-people won. But in episode 12, “Double Thinking/Event Boundary,” all seems to be going well.

What happens in episode 12?

Ghost in the shell sac 2045 announces the end of season 2 major motoko kusanagi pull cord cords takhi shimamura
Does the Major Pull the Cord?

Major Matoko Kusanagi realizes he’s not in a brain maze, but what happened? Wakes up in a pod and finds all artificial intelligence Purin Ezaki; the two go to talk Takashi Shimamura.

Is this the real world? What happened to the nuclear missile launch? Why does the major decide to leave? Where is it going? Was this all a dream?

I really had fun Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 despite the scary 3D animation. Going past the end a few more times, I think it’s a really interesting addition to the GitS universe.

Let me know what you think of my revealing the ending. Did I miss something? Do you agree or disagree with any of my theories?
